Pennsylvania Station, also known as New York Penn Station or simply Penn Station, is the main intercity railroad station in New York City and the busiest transportation facility in the Western Hemisphere, serving more than 600,000 passengers per weekday as of 2019. The station is served by 1,300 arrivals and departures per day, twice the number during the 1970s. There are more than 600,000 subway, commuter rail, and Amtrak passengers who use the station on an average weekday, or up to 1,000 every ninety seconds.  It is the busiest passenger transportation facility in the United States and in North America.
